We are fundraising for this year’s Christmas Campaign. We are collecting donations for our Christmas Meat Vouchers, our Christmas Goodie bags, and our Christmas Gift Cards for children.
We know that this year, due to the current cost of living crisis, many more people will struggle to provide a Christmas meal and treats for themselves and their families. Last year, with your support, we fed more than 1,200 people in December 2021 and we gave out 300 Christmas Goodie bags. We have already seen yet another big increase in people needing help with emergency food this year.
We work with local family butchers to give our food bank clients a voucher for meat for their Christmas dinner. They can then exchange this voucher for meat of their choice, either for Christmas or in January when money is stretched even further. Vegetarian clients do not miss out as we also provide vouchers for them too!
Again, as with last year, we would like to give our food bank clients Gift Cards for their children, so they can use them to choose a gift for their child.
Our Goodie Bags are full of Christmas extras and seasonal treats for the whole family!
