Good news, we are reopening our centres next week. Please tell your clients to come and visit us to collect their food as as we will not be mass delivering food parcels after this Friday 2 July (exceptions detailed below).
Since March 2020 when Covid hit, we had to close our 5 Foodbank centres and move to a home delivery service, which we have managed very successfully over the past 15 months, feeding an average of 200+ people each week.
We are now moving to reopening 4 of our Foodbank Centres from the week of 5 July, 2021. Clients will need to visit one of our centres (as they did prior to Covid) to fulfil their food voucher. All of our centres will have PPE in place to protect our volunteers and clients.
We will continue to run a delivery service one / two days a week but only for clients who are either Covid positive, or who are incapacitated and physically unable to attend a centre.
Our centre opening times and venues will be as follows:
Tuesdays – Merland Rise Church, Tadworth KT20 5JG
10am – 12pm
Wednesdays – Ruxley Church, Ewell KT19 0JG
1pm – 3pm
Fridays – Epsom Methodist Church KT18 5AQ
1.15 – 3.15pm
Saturdays – North Leatherhead Community Centre, Kingston KT22 7PX
10am – 11.30am
Many of you will have continued to refer clients to us throughout this time and have been set up to issue E Vouchers rather than the paper red vouchers. If you have any red vouchers these are still valid and you can use them. However we want all agencies to move on to using the E voucher system, as long term it is a more effective system for us. If you haven’t yet been set up for this, then please contact us.
We are really excited about seeing clients again face to face as we know this is a really important part of our work here in the communities we serve.
