Part of our lockdown story involved us getting a visit from Sam Faiers https://www.instagram.com/samanthafaiers/?hl=en and being filmed for part of an episode of The Mummy Diaries.
As a programme with a huge mainstream audience, this was a brilliant opportunity for us to inform people about the immediate need for emergency food, particularly during the pandemic, but to also help them understand the structural causes which can push people into poverty.
We had a great day with Sam, showing her what we do, why we do it, what we give and what it means to get involved with a foodbank.
The episode airs tomorrow night, Thursday 8 October on ITVBe at 9pm.
