Christmas appeal 2019

7th November 2019

How can you help us this year? Sadly we have seen a massive 45% increase in our numbers this year and we expect December to be the busiest ever – last December we helped almost 600 people just in that month.
For this Christmas, we are asking for the following:

Gifts for young people aged 9 to 15 – unwrapped please
(We need these at our depot by FRIDAY 6th December)

£5 or £10 Co-op gift cards (we need these as early in December as possible, in time to give to our clients)

Financial donations for a fresh Christmas meal
Last year our ‘Fresh Christmas Meal’ scheme raised over £5,000 and helped give 170 families a fresh Christmas dinner bought from a local Butcher and Greengrocer. Due to its success, this year we are running the scheme again, partnering with local butchers and greengrocers.

For example a donation of the following would help:
? £20+ for a single person
? £25+ for a household of two
? £35+ for a family

Financial donations towards energy top-ups. During December in order to help people cook the food provided and keep their energy on we offer one-off energy tops ups to people on meters for electric and gas. If you want to support this then please make a donation of £10-30.

Household donations
New pillows, socks, flannels, towels, gloves, hot water bottles, thermos travel cups.

Food donations will also be welcome such as:
Selection Boxes/ Christmas treats (nothing containing alcohol please)
Sauces – ketchup, Brown sauce
Coffee
Sponge puddings
Sanitary towels

Please note our cut off date for receiving Christmas donations is FRIDAY 6th DECEMBER. Many thanks.

Please contact Naomi on [email protected] for our bank details if you want to donate online. Please reference any online donations as “Christmas Appeal”

Our depot address for drop-offs is Generation Resource Centre, behind West Ewell Primary School, Ruxley Lane Ewell KT19 0JG

As usual, thank you for your support. We couldn’t do it without you.
