One of our supporters, Nick Baum, is raising money for Epsom & Ewell foodbank by cycling the London to Paris bike ride in July. Could you support him – and us?
Nick says: “Having spent a lot of time watching cycling, without actually getting on to a saddle, I thought it was high time I did some pedalling myself. The London-Paris challenge will take four days, covering an average of 80 miles per day, finishing in Paris on Sunday 24th July 2016 – the day before the Tour de France rolls into town.
I’m attempting this particular challenge on a vintage 1982 Dutch racing bike with old-fangled gears and traditional pedals and toe-straps. So no carbon fibre for me but I will be investing heavily in lycra and anti chaffing cream of course.
I’m delighted to be taking on this challenge with a group of friends raising money for Epsom & Ewell Food Bank (part of The Trussell Trust). The foodbank is a wonderful organisation, run by Generation Church. These hard-working volunteers rely on donations to feed local people in crisis.
I’d be extremely grateful if you could support my fundraising in any way that you can.
Thanks very much, Nick.”
